Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

One of my favourite streets artists Zabou has recently done a series of excellent portraits of some heroes of comedy, on the side of The Bill Murray/Angel Comedy Club in Islington, London.

So good, even up close.

And Victoria Wood and Billy Connolly are on the other wall round the corner....

Abandoned. This lookout and road leading in was cut off decades ago. There's a whopper carpark behind me too.

Stayed out of the hills for a change on level ground around the coast and city. There's graffiti there.

One of many new murals across the city done as part of the London mural festival, this is my favourite by an artist called Smug. The subject is local resident June Barber, who has lived on the Webeath Estate for 50 years.
