new race frame needed
one week after installing a new alpha q fork i find a crack in the left seat stay on my pedal force cf frame; i've crashed the bike twice on the right side (in april and may); i have no idea how the left side could have been damaged; there are no indications of any severe blows - just a small scuff and a crack
i've considered trying for a warranty replacement but i have trust issues with this frame brand now
i found the bmc streetfire frameset at usd600 and the cervelo s1 at usd1200; i am waiting to hear from Kane bikes; this is a good price range for me
i could use some advice as i may not be thinking clearly now
thanks

not exactly a flood of those frames on ebay. I didn't see any, but I didn't look for misspelled listings.

So something similar may have happened. You crashed on your right, but the force was transfered to the left and cracked the chainstay

i'll bet you are correct; wouldn't that mean this frame is wimpy? both falls ended with me and bike skittering along pavement - no sudden stops; someone mentioned the possibility of cf repair but maybe that would be throwing good money at a bad frame

Much cheaper to replace most of the time.
Cannondale's crash replacement's cost very little compared to the initial expense of a frame.
Heck, if they're going to start making CAAD8's abroad now, those would be like 300 dollars for a frame replacement.
Can't really beat that!
