Yes, I'm 230 lbs and have tried my damnedest to break them but not even a creak from them. I've got these on another bike also and they've performed well no issues whatsoever. I understand the preference for black tape, but I'm just not a black tape guy. I've got 7 or 8 road bikes and not a single one with black tape. I like to be "different". I do wish Supacaz would make a slightly darker blue though. Thanks for your thoughts.

I got a bunch of little creaks out of each mine when I tested them before fitting, as a few tighter fibres snapped, but yeah, quiet after that, and strong as buggery.
Made me wonder, if that's normal for carbon parts but you just don't come across it because reputable brands test their carbon stuff before sale, or if it was just down to sloppy lay-up.

I guess I'll throw my latest local find our there. It's a 1998 Trek Y-Foil sporting most of it's original components. The wheels came off a Lemond I also picked up recently.
I took this out with tired legs yesterday and it flat out flies.

Since you have more than one, I propose the following:
Given the UCI killed non-diamond framed bikes stone dead, I figure they're a prime candidate for modernisation. Etap, modern aero wheels, compact bars (for a modern look), and lose the fork for an Easton Aero. I have one in 1", and it'd look the tits on this, painted to match.

Hot. I have a 684, and every time I ride it, I remember how much fun it is. Still with the OE fork, and really does ride like a truck.

Yeah... So the reason for the saddle position is a bit tricky. Cervelo has a one size fits all 73deg seat tube angle for all sizes and I have super short femurs.

I like it. Having said that, and assuming the original design impetus was to increase/improve aerodynamics, for all that is holy and aesthetic, slam the freakin’ stem and lose those hideous bars. Oh yeah, the stem has to go. Find a longer stem that looks less... chunky, lose the silly seat post and slide the saddle forward.

This is what's so great about the internet. It may not look how you want but it's dialed in pretty much perfectly to my fit. So I'm not going to spend money replacing parts that allow me to dial in my fit. Though to be honest, I will be going to a more compact set of bars.
But really, looks aside why would anyone try to tell someone how to position the cockpit on their bike based on a picture????
I'm a disabled vet with trashed knees and a blown discs in my lower back. I can ride fast and pain free with precise placement of my saddle and bars. I know what works for me, not some stranger on the internet. Call my bike ugly, parts ugly, whatever. I won't care or say anything. But I find it totally silly when someone tries to tell a perfect stranger how the fit of their bike should be. I mean, really.
