Nice ride! Love the High Country decal on your chain stay! Wild colour too. Bought new? Wondering what was the original gruppo...

To all enthusiasts, I am selling my (2nd owner) Proctor Race. This bike is in amazing shape with rare internal cable routing. Thinking it's a 1984, however cannot confirm as bill of sale has no date. Time to move it on to another Proctor enthusiast, as I only put on about 100km/year. Open to fair offers.
See on Pinkbike Canada, Vintage Bikes.

Nice bike, a real time capsule. Can you share the serial number? GLWS

Great, thanks for sharing. Comparing with my bike's serial number from 1986, yours must be later. The address on the order is a small shop on Edmonton's south side that now sells garage doors. I remember going there with my frame after a crash to have Gary Townsend check the alignment on their jig and it was perfect.

Proctor Museum at Cycle Logic

This week I finally visited Cycle Logic at 7805-109 St and met owner Rich Schafenacker. When discussing Proctor with Alex Ongaro, he mentioned this shop having a couple of interesting bikes on the wall. Schafenacker and Ongaro were on the Proctor Race Team back in the day.

Google Maps image

Alex Ongaro's track bike. From what I could see through the paint, it was either frame #013 or 018.

Team Proctor rider Rick Young's road bike.

Hope you enjoy this peek inside Cycle Logic as much as I did.

Thank you, that gets me closer to the actual age of the bike.

I got my hands on an 80s Proctor (S/N: 274) a couple of days ago and I'm having a real hard time deciding what to do with it. I'd like to preserve the original paint and decals because of their history, but the frame is experiencing significant bubbling rust underneath the paint, and I fear if I don't refinish it it will eat away at the Reynolds 531 beneath. Any opinions either way?

Nice find, looks original. Rick Young’s bike in the previous photo was fully restored and I can imagine yours looking just as amazing. Decals might be a problem though. I’ll have to reach out to Cycle Logic again for their source…

Wow, that restoration looks beautiful. I would greatly appreciate any more information about decals. If I can't find any, I may have to fire up Photoshop!

Reach out to Rich Schafenaker at Cycle-Logic 780-433-1046, he sourced the decals for that restoration. Make sure to update this thread with any info 👍

This 1980s Proctor-Townsend track bike just appeared on Pinkbike. Description states front 650c wheel and rear 700c. Frame not drilled for brakes. Has been on display in a bike shop for most of its life. Not mentioned what the tubing is.

My Proctor Townsend

I can't post pics yet but picked up a 1993 Proctor Townsend MTB from original owner couple years ago. I got it pretty cheap and he was surprised by the amount of interest he received for it being 30 years old. I cleaned it up and swapped out a couple things but kept most to it original.

Another Proctor Townsend MTB

I picked up another MTB last fall, this one is a Espra. It's black and yellow with some yellow matching bits. Seller wasn't getting any takers and he just needed it gone so I got for reasonable price. I see his original ad is still on Pinkbike if you do a search. I believe he said it was from early 2000's but that's not right, it has to be 89-91 likely with the Exage 400LX parts.

I've seen this bike in person and it's pretty cool. Sean has a great store in Calgary.
