Air Show in Huntington Beach
PSA: The signs are up and PCH is going to be closed to traffic today and tomorrow between Beach and Warner.
The Air show: https://www.surfcityusa.com/events/s...w%2F&pxid=8513
Might be a great couple of days down at the beach. Someone on a bicycle could really get around.

Got a private airshow from the perimeter of the National Guard air base.
Heard a commotion monday morning at JFTB, where the Thunderbirds parked after the airshow.
Went out on my patio and saw 5 of the F-16's taking off, straight up, vertical. When they
got to altitude they puffed smoke in dashes 4-3-2-1.
These are very loud, fast jets with single engines. Don't recall seeing a straight up flight path like that. The
F-35, F-22 generation are much quieter and can land and take off smoother and slower.
The cannons are retro-fitted with smokers.

I rode thru the area during this time. Folks were illegally parking on shoulder/blocking bike lane where traffic was still open south of HB. Trying to ride thru there was not fun at all.
