I had two. The first was a Schwinn Le Tour, and the second was a touring Univega. Both fairly light weight lugged frame steel bikes. This was back in the early and mid 80s.

My 1994 Touring/Trekking bike from the small German company "Fahrradmanufaktur". Extremely well built with good quality components. Only minor repairs and some modifications over the past 25 years. I still love it and it runs very smooth. I use it almost daily. Next planned upgrade: New front wheel with hub dynamo to replace the bottle dynamo. No plans to retire this bike in the near future.
