Ted Talks
I mostly enjoy Ted Talks on YouTube despite there being a few flakes in the mix. One I came across relevant to cycling ihttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTT7i3SKpMQs a strong message advocating cycling. I like the video as I've seen the difference cucling has make to my nephew, who has taken up cycling and seen his weight go from 220 lbs. to 185lbs., his high school weight. Also my niece and her daughter of 8 yrs. old are now riding bikes. So perhaps a friend or family member could benefit from seeing the video.

True but since I've never been without one since the age of eight I've never had that experience. They are just THERE.

There are lots of (intetesting) Ted Talks about the bicycle.
Some talk about health. Some talk about urban design. One talks about the bicycle as an engineering marvel.

And there's one done in Chengdu. It was an American guy, Jacob Klink, who's an LBS owner there.
Mostly fixie's and some bamboo. He gave the lifestyle argument.
I wrote a long comment on the video. I have been to Chengdu 3 times. I joined his fun Friday night rides 3 times, 30 to 50 riders from all over. HUGE changes to cycling and cars going from Suzuki econo-boxes to Maseratti's.
