Can I tell difference? Absolutely. Not even a question.

However, I really like small frames, and have a lot of exposed seat post.

I have a carbon seat post on my alloy gravel bike. It's quite a bit lighter and much easier to mount/adjust my saddles than the original but zero difference in ride quality that I can tell. It looks cool too.

Just (barely) learned to play handchimes this weekend, and it occured to me I've seen bike bells made out of brass, copper, steel, aluminum, and titanium, but not carbon fiber.

Well, except these Bells.

I have all flavor of seat posts and I have really tried to notice a difference between them...but never have. However, I noticed a BIG difference when I switched one bike from 23mm tires to 25mm. I've also scaled back my tire pressure from a smidge over 100 to 95lbs.

I find the seatpost matters so little I switched the carbon one that came with my Opera Leonardo for a Thomson Aluminum. The Pinarello post has a fiddly two bolt clamp, and too much setback for my tastes. The Thomson is the greatest thing since the Syncros Ti post I bought in 1995.

Wheels make a much bigger difference. Seat/rail design makes a difference.

The Specialized Cobl Goblr definitely makes a difference. Spendy, though.
