Patching Vittoria latex tubes
I have to patch a Vittoria latex tube but I don't have a piece of latex tube to use as a patch. Cutting a patch out of the tube I'm patching doesn't seem like the right approach.
Does anyone have a piece from a Vittoria latex tube (pink) that they would be willing to drop in the mail?
My Pinarello build will be very appreciative.
Edit: Maybe the brand or color is irrelevant, the latex part my be all that matters.

So you can't use a regular patch?

I understand that a patch made from latex tube material, fastened with regular vulcanizing glue, is the longest lasting patch for latex tubes.
I'll be able to confirm that definitively in a year or so.

I might have that; a couple of those developed holes right around the valve core, not worth patching. Now I need to figure out where I ditched 'em.

Nice to see C&V folks helping each other out!
I wasn't aware that there were specific patches for the Vittoria latex tubes. I would have grabbed my Velox tubular patch kit, having used them for latex tubes in tubulars. The patches are significantly thinner than what you find in the typical clincher patch kit.

addtional note: The donor vittoria tube was intact (was going to surprise OP with full tube) but it had had sealant in it and in trying to reinflate popped the tube. So if you you sealant and and take a tube out, best to store inflated

OP, please share your results on this and what glue / solvent you used. I have at least one latex tube that I'd like to patch.

I have a Vittoria latex tubular with two holes (my only flats ever on tubulars and it was nice they were on the same tire so only had to open up one) that have held up over a year and probably 1500 miles. Used a latex patch cut from an older tubular I had from a wheelset purchase. Cannot remember if I used regular Vulcanizing style cement or just continental tubular glue. I do remember doing a test first and there was no way the patch was going to fail after all the pulling and stretching I did.
I did totally ruin a brand new Veloflex tube by rolling over a rock that pierced and split open the sidewall during a slow u-turn. Taught me not to ride in construction areas any more.
