Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2014 Venge - Max Rim Size

I'm considering a set of carbons for my 2014 Venge, anyone have an idea on the max rim width?

Anyone running a 28?

So is this the old model before they went to discs or the weird custom brake callipers?
If it is the old model, I used to have one. It did fit 28's but there isn't much clearance left.

Yes, I have the pre-Vias /discs. Thanks for the info w/28's. Roads in my city aren't the smoothest - think 28s will cause frame issues if i accidentally hit a pot hole?

No. Only real issue are surfaces where the tyres tend to pick up debris as there isn't a lot of clearance for it to get through.
Mine was an S-Works but I presume the mould and subsequent clearances are the same across the model range.
Could also depend on brake caliper brand/model too as they don't all have the same clearance. Mine were DA9000.
