Sun Drifter 3

Hello all,

So our bikes were stolen recently, that's another story but I found a women's Sun Drifter 3 to replace my girlfriends bike at an estate sale. The bike is in brand new condition, aluminum frame, pedal forward design, 3 speed internal geared Shimano hub with coaster brakes. I paid $80 for the bike and feel like that was a good deal but I cannot find much information online about Sun bikes? Is anyone familiar with this bike is it made by someone else and labeled Sun?

Additionally is there any maintenance that needs to be done to a 3 speed Nexus hub?

I can't attach pictures yet, maybe I can hit that post threshold later.
She does really love the bike.

It's a great find, and she'll enjoy it immensely. Please, when you can, post those pics.

Fantastic deal. Put "sun drifter" into your browser. The 3-speed Nexus should be bulletproof without any service for a long time IMO.

Thanks for the reply, only seven more posts and I can include pictures. I googled the Sun Drifter, it looks like an expensive bike but I don't really see where anyone owns one. Oh well, it's a really nice riding bike regardless.

They were sold and are a good bike for cruising. You see them in retirement communities but the are not highly collectable. Roger

Found it at an estate sale in St Pete so practically a retirement home. Working wonderfully so far.
