Shimano 105 - 5600 flat-bar shifters?
Hello,
I would like to convert my drop bar Shimano 105 - 5600 / 2x10sp bike to a flat-bar setup.
On the shimano website, they say the "SL-R770" shifters are compatible, but these shifters are really hard to find.
Probably other shifters are also compatible with this older 10 speed set.
Who knows which shifters would work? Any advice is appreciated
greetings from Netherlands,
Rik.

I used Microshift’s 2/3 x 10 flat bar road shifter set for a conversion. They work great.

I just converted my drops to flats using Microshift Mezzo's 3x8spd (https://www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-me...-help-plz.html).
Seems to be decent quality and very cost effective!

That looks really nice. I like the rapid-fire style levers that you have chosen,
the thumb levers don't seem to make sense to me haha.
Does anyone know an online shop in Europe where i can get micro-shifts?
If anyone has more suggestions regarding my setup, that are available somewhere in Europe.. feel free.

Here are the 2/3 x 10 Microshift Shifters, along with the Shimano BL R550 brake levers. I think I paid about $70 for all of it.
Grips have since been changed to something less hideous looking.

If they ship to you, that's what you want. Triple is backwards-compatible with double.

Bike24 in Germany is very good service and prices. microSHIFT - Shifting Levers, Rear & Front Derailleurs & Cassettes - BIKE24 If you don't see what you want ask them.
There is a very good web dealer in the Netherlands that I can't recall the name right now but will update if I remember. Not certain they carry microSHIFT but a good chance they do.

Somebody told me that triple shifters also work on double crank-sets (which i did not know about) and right after that, you told me aswel... After knowing that, i searched online again and i managed to find an online-shop in my country that sells the Shimano SL-R770 triple.
Ordered it and it will arrive tomorrow!
I will post a picture when i rebuild the bike! :-)

Keep looking for Tiagra 4600 flat-bar shifters, or the Microshift substitute.
Yes, triple front shifters will work on double cranksets. The trick is to set the cable tension for the two inside rings and block out the third ring using the high limit screw. Don't crank it so tight that you lose middle (upper) trim, but also not so loose that you're tempted to shift into the nonexistent third ring. Many a 3-speed STI has been destroyed this way.
