I call b/s. Talk is cheap; make'em prove it.

Even if somebody makes the correct snap decision to chase (maybe they hesitate to hope that their rival does the work), and even if they successfully latch onto your wheel - which are both big ifs - they are going to have to be mighty strong to come around you. The only obvious opportunity is on the long finish stretch..and that's why if in the first 60" you have separation then it's a big ask.

In my days as a racer, I thought (and also heard) many times "I coulda won if...." In crits, knowing and doing are separated by huge chasm.

Yours was a well-timed and powerful attack.

I couldn't agree more. The important thing was that you got enough separation, and then didn't back out, at all. Holding your ground is what did it, there was no way, unless Marianna Vos was in the field, that anyone was going to come around you.

Moots was seventeen? Now I know I don't want to race with you!

Awesome, @valygrl. I love all the clean air you get for yourself right at the end. Well-played.

You are going to have to get a camera for the back of your bike now. So you can see the frustration on everyone else's faces.

You Shoveled them. Picture perfect attack for that course, timed the effort perfect. Now keep in mind that you know what they'll be thinking when they look at you with 1-2 to go and use that to your advantage. Awesome job. In closing, let me say:

The satisfying clunk of the shift as you got clear, pretty much said it all.

What a joy to watch, @valygrl.

You'll be marked for sure, but you will do this again. Mark my words.

This is is a perfect illustration of committing to the move. You took great lines through a nice technical course. They see that behind you, and it gets in their head.

Hoperully you got some points.

Just downloaded the data on that little foray. 40s at 450w, 33 MPH to stay off the front.

Sheesh. One point.

Sheesh. One point.
Put on bigger chain ring, apply bicarbonate cream to quads, ride off the front and win. And it is not on the list!
