Best Fitness Tracker for Indoor Cycling
Hi, i’ve Been riding my indoor bike for about 9 months now. I originally bought a wahoo tickr x to watch my heart rate and cadence. But recently, my tickr has become unreliable. I put it on and it’ll tell me my heart rate is 130 to 180. Before I get on the bike. I bought a new strap....same thing. So i’m Thinking about buying a new fitness tracker. I want one for biking so I can watch my cadence. Since i’m Indoors, don’t really need a gps one. Any suggestions ?

Do you know that it's wrong? Maybe the anticipation of riding the trainer gets your heart excited!

130 isn't really that high. And there are a lot of things besides exercise that will raise your heart rate, like caffeine, emotional state, etc. If two sensors showed the same behavior I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it.
Chest straps are invariably more accurate than wrist sensors.
With all that said, I use a Garmin Fenix 5X. I like it for bike use because it talks to my power meter.

Are you wetting the pads before putting it on?

Are you looking for a new HR sensor or new device to watch it on? Any computer with Bluetooth can read a sensor, given the software. Now that I'm thinking about it all of the software I'm using is by subscription, The Sufferfest, Zwift, Training Peaks. But there must also be free software. Also your phone can do it. Since you are indoors it doesn't have to mount to the bike.
130bpm does seem high though for first getting on the bike. That's more like a medium pace after a warm up.

The worse one is Strava, because it won't record without GPS.
It's a bit unclear what you have and what you need. Is your trainer a bike that you also plan to ride outdoors? If so, get a bike computer and match it with a speed/cadence sensor. Then you can use the Garmin app or the Wahoo fitness app to track your training (it will record cadance, HR, speed (which is a bit meaningless indoors)).
If you're on a stationary bike then you can do the same thing, but you'll need to figure out how to mount a cadence sensor and the speed sensor may be a bit odd (because usually there's no speed - just a certain resistance).

Maybe Fitbit Charge 2 and Fitbit Charge 3 will work for you. They're incredibly flexible and strongly advanced trackers which will lead you anywhere you want to be

Wet the contacts and your chest, also check the battery level. If that doesn't work, contact Wahoo. If it really is defective, they may send you a replacement.
