June trip

Been a couple years since my last tour, to "The Field of Dreams" in Dyersville, Iowa. Starting to plan for this June, when I have 10 days set aside. Been mulling over a few ideas of where to ride. I could do a loop from home and explore NW Wisconsin, up to Lake Superior and back. Or I could shag a ride down to IL and follow the trail of Black Hawk, take in a little history. I really enjoy the Driftless Area of SW WI, SE MN, NE Iowa. I could wonder around through the small towns taking in rural America that way. And this has been intriguing to me, just take off and go as far as I want, and rent a U Haul van one way and drive back home. I have a few months to lock it in. Planning is part of the fun!

Have fun whatever you decide! Those all sound like great ideas.

One more idea! Drive across WI to Manitowoc, take ferry across lLake Michigan, and ride back up and over through the UP. Or do a loop exploring MI back to the ferry. I’m going to investigate this idea further!
