Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, I wasn't in love with the way the brakes felt on this bike... And after much consideration... the 105s seemed to be the obvious choice... They have the same performance characteristics as their more expensive brothers... Just a little heavier. I LOVE the way they feel now... though I did commit a crime by keeping the red aluminum tensioners over the 105's plastic tensioner things.

My upgrades are complete, or at least the lady says they are for now...

New Psimet wheels (White Industry Hubs), 6700 11/28 cassette, GP4000s were the latest improvements. Just need to learn how to take better pictures.

1985 Raleigh Team USA bike. It's a bit rough around the edges, but it'll get nicer as time and $$$ allows.

At first it, kept popping up after each harsh jolt.
I removed the zip ties and put new ones on and tightened them with pliers until they broke off.
its fine now, not shaky at all, and it puts the comp is pretty far out from handle bar.

Red Michelin Pro4 tires. We will see if they are any more durable than the Pro3s.
