One year anniversary back in the saddle

My logs are showing 1300 miles, but the first month wasn't very accurate.

I rode 201 miles in April. That's not bad considering my first ride a year ago was only 2 miles, and I had to walk the bike back up the hill in my driveway.

May's goal is 250 miles. I got a good start on it today with a 32 mile ride.

Had my first fall since buying "clipless" pedals a month ago. In a Church parking lot, almost at a complete stop. I unclipped the wrong side and looked like Arte Johnson from Laugh-In on that tricycle. As I fell, I hollered "Oh, God!"

Nobody in the parking lot heard me, but God did. That pavement was as soft as a mattress. No kidding. I didn't feel a thing.

Hang in there and enjoy regardless of the miles. It's all about having fun

Remember the title of this post, in about 5 or so years you can link to the archives here, and tell us about the anniversary of riding X number years, and what mileage you logged over those years. Should make for some interesting reading, and memories about the way things were before you started riding, again.

Best wishes on your future rides.

Bill
