Jack Taylor touring tandem

I saw this ad recently and thought others may be interested. I would think this would be quite expensive new.

^^^^^^^^^ Waaaaay too little 411 on each bike to justify any "lot" asking price. There's a broad range of quality there, with no shortage of hi-tenners. Seller obviously knows what he has, and it would cost him ZERO to list more info on each bike, along with what he thinks each is worth. But esp. with the wide range of both quality and size, he better not hold his breath waiting for a full-lot buyer.

Here is a Univega Competizione that looks to be in decent shape under the grime, with original components. For shorter riders in New England, it would be worth a look for $80 if you’re local.

EDIT: I read the description, and the seller says the fork is slightly bent and does not appear to be knowledgeable about bikes. Might still be worth a peek, though.

And to think that poor Univega started out life, way back in 1984, looking like this:

Man, this was the best color too. The paint on the Competizione out in the sunlight was stunning in my opinion. So nice to look at. That one looks absolutely miserable.

Someone has one in my size here in Atlanta. I often see it parked next to One Eared Stag.

In 1982 -- it has the Cyclone MKII derailleurs, which were stock on my 82...

Also, if stock, it should have Sunshine ProAm hubs, and it has the dork disk that mine had, so they are likely stock wheels. Could prob be talked down to $50, not too bad for the Aerox crank, hubs, and Suntour mechs.

Big & Tall Cannondale ST400 6'-5"+ others - $350 (Boston)

For sale is my 80s Cannondale ST400 perfect for a clydesdale or other tall cyclist, it would make a great tourer, commuter, or general all-rounder. I'm 6'-7" and it fits pretty well. You should be ~6'-5" and up.

The frame is Cannondale's largest 27" size and has a 67cm seat tube with a ~61.5cm top tube, measured center to center. It has an aluminum frame and steel fork, made in the USA.

It's in excellent barely used condition with new tires (pasela), tubes, and saddle (charge spoon). It's tuned and ready to go. It has a double crankset up front and 6 speeds indexed in the back. It is running 32c equivalent tires.

It was designed as a touring bike and has eyelets for fenders and racks and bosses for three water bottle cages for long distance touring. The frame is identical to the highest end touring Cannondale of this era, except for rear spacing and cantilever brake bosses - they only changed the components.

If you're tall, you know how hard it is to find frames that fit. Come check it out, you won't be disappointed. There are a few paint chips and a couple of larger rubs, but it shows very well and most could be easily touched-up if you like.

Cash or paypal/venmo. I can meet in Dorchester or bring the bike downtown.
Email or text Evan 980-233-113zero.

I have other tall bikes available if interested (search for tall or email/text me):
28"/71cm Eddy Merckx racing bike, $1300
27"/67cm Cannondale ST1000, aluminum, excellent for clydesdales, touring or commuting $500
67cm - rebadged steel Raleigh Fixed Gear conversion $250
67cm - freshly powdercoated steel Road Frame & Fork $200

It's in excellent barely used condition with new tires (pasela), tubes, saddle (specialized), bars (nitto) and bar tape (fizik). It's well tuned and ready to go. It has a triple up front and 6 speeds indexed in the back. It has cantilever brakes and is running 32c equivalent tires. Hubs, bottom bracket, headset are all sealed and in excellent condition.

This was Cannondale's top of the line touring bike. I have the original fenders and both racks for it but the rear rack is bent. The bike has bosses for three water bottle cages for long distance touring.

Come check it out, you won't be disappointed. The stiff frame and shimano biopace (ovoid) chainrings really make it accelerate easily; with its touring geometry you could practically fall asleep and still ride in a straight line. There are a few paint chips and one longer scrape on the top tube, but they'd be easy to touch-up if you like.

Cash or paypal/venmo. I can meet in Dorchester or bring the bike downtown.

1981 LOTUS CLASSIQUE - 25"

https://rochester.craigslist.org/bik...974308908.html
OFFERED FOR SALE IS A LOTUS CLASSIQUE 1981. Serial # MH01474… The bike appears to be mostly as it was new and seems complete. This model is for a taller person. It has a Swiss made Pletscher rack on it. It is in good shape considering the age. Brakes work well and I am confident the shifting and other mechanics are in good condition. It has been stored well......

3T-GT-Mania this week; alas, most have, er, not been loved, but are still overpriced:

Dude doesn't know it's a GT; tried to fixie-fy it. I THINK it's a Timberline:

https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/d...995003643.html

fixie, 26" wheels, commuter - $100

=============================================================

Can't tell what this once was; did they just paint around the logos? Fork and threadless mess would have to go:

https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/d...981505136.html

Winter commuter GT Triple Triangle 26" wheels 20" frame - $40 (Madison East)

================================================================

FINALLY an unmolested one, He's been inching the price down; it was twice this price two weeks ago:

https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/d...995213965.html

15” GT All Terra Outpost Mountain Bike - $75 (Sun Prairie)

This poor Trek has been languishing for months @ $400. Seller insists it's 57 cm, looks like MAYBE a 54 to me. Though that hi-rise stem really throws off the proportions, IMO.

Looks like an 80ish 937 or 957? That's almost at the very top of the pile for what you could get then. But yeah, looks like 56 CTC. maybe they're measuring CTT.

Treks of that vintage were sized in inches and came in inch-and-a-half increments. This one looks like a 22 1/2" frame.
