The problem of making a pendulum clock work on ships at sea, when the deck is always rolling and pitching and almost never level, bedeviled attempts to design a workable marine chronometer necessary for finding longitude. The successful designs of John Harrison (which eventually after much legal wrangling won him an enormous prize from the British Admiralty) cut to the chase (as it were) and made a stable level surface unnecessary.

Which is what I suggest that the OP do with his bike: ignore the level and ride it.

Try taking a photo from a greater distance, perhaps outdoors. The combination of circles and level and slanted lines in bikes seems to reveal distortion in images that would be unnoticed in other subjects.

oh, that's just image i found on the web being curious about your bike. i thought it odd miyata would make a sloped top tube on a road bike, so had to look.

i have seen those stems on ebay, though. forget the brand, but they're cheap. like $15. search "riser quill stem" or "high rise", etc., if you're interested in it. they're not the prettiest, but obviously functional and looks kinda cool in off the wall sort of way. to me, atleast

ps. i'm sure the tires had atleast a little to do with the phenomena you were concerned over. but, i also think it was..yes...optical illusion

You can change top tube angle by moving the rear wheel fore and aft in the dropouts. Take the wheels off and see what range of 'level' you get by using the dropouts as your baseline.

All my bikes are that way, 25s in front and 28s in the rear, what’s the big deal. As stated above, OP matches the tires, same brand and model would be nice, and bike is pretty much level. Nice bike by the way OP.

Yellow handlebar tape and coal-mining appear to have produced an interesting combination here.
