Biopace versus Cyclone
I'm assembling a 12-speed Frankenbike, and need to know if a Shimano 105 "Biopace" crank will play nice with Suntour Cyclone derailleurs, front and back, and six speed freewheel. All friction, non-indexed. Thanks!

Should be fine. Before indexing we switched between brands of derailleurs, shifters, and freewheels all the time. Biopace wasn't that far off from round to cause problems - unlike real oval/elliptical rings like Durham's and similar.

...I don't think the crank with Biopace is a problem, but there are some limitations on what a short cage Cyclone rear derailleur will handle.
The ones with a short cage and a very short mounting ear off the dropout will only handle 24 cogs reliably, IIRC. Look on Velobase.

Biopace versus Cyclone
The battle of comic heroes?
Like said above, I'd just check to make sure you have the required capacity for the derailleurs. Set it up then try all combinations. I"d be very surprised if it didn't work just fine.

Biopace has no impact on derailleur choice - they all shift equally (poorly). You left out the variables that do - chainring sizes. However, considering the limited selection of chainrings in that era you are probably fine there also.

Until recently I had a shimano biopace 42-52 road crankset on a bike with a suntour Superbe front derailleur and Suntour barcon (friction) bar end shifters. It shifted just fine. It sounds like your proposed setup would be similar.
