So it looks like Cannondale has decided to field a 100% CF frame and it will start appearing in stores this week.

It's not available for sale anytime soon. My understanding is that a few select bike shops will have a floor model, or that someone from Cannondale is traveling with one and showing it to LBS owners.
Roadbikereview.com had a post regarding it, and ultra-g (on this forum) has seen the bike.
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong -this is just what I gathered from googling it.

Sales reps are just now getting their demo bikes, more availability in a month or so. May looks more realistic. Not made in the USA.

Actually, I test rode the Cannondale Snyapse this saturday, 3/19/05, the LBS that had this bike being built for the Cannondale Southeast Sales Account Manager.
First off, I disliked the matte black frame with decals stickered on the frame. Nothing was clearcoated and it was very apparent that this frame was not "Handmade in the USA" which may not have not stickered on yet.
Luckily, the frame was a 58cm with full dura-ace 10speed gruppo, FSA bar, stem, post, and Ksyrium SSL wheels. The bike was light, but not as light as a Six13. First crank down on the bike was very impressive, the bike is truly responsive and very resilient in the parking lot with a mixed asphalt surface. The geometry of this bike is a bike relaxed in comparison to the Six13.
Overall, this bike will be a good addition to the Cannondale line-up of bikes. I believe this bike will be very successful for rides that enjoy "paves" type of rides. I like it, but I won't give up my six13! But this bike will be high considered in the near future when it starts shipping! Rumor is that this bike may be even available in mid-summer 2005.

Well, let's see, everyone and their dog seems to want carbon, so why shouldn't Cannondale meet the demand? Even if other frames are lighter, who cares? They'll sell the crap out of them.
At least they're not making quads anymore.

And is that a sloping top tube I see? The angle of the picture makes it hard to tell.

I know Martec is a major manufacturer providing frames to several big names.
Now if only I could find the factory that made the Scott CR-1.

Actually, I have yet to see my mtb frame have any signs of cracks. And this is a xc bike I'm taking off of jumps/drops/down stairs.
Anyway, lets not turn this into one of those "cannondales crack" "no they don't" threads.
I don't really like the Synapse. The looks aren't that great and it looks to be a gneric carbon frame like almost all other crabon bikes out there.
The Six13 on the other hand, that is one sexy looking bike Does cdale sell just frames? When I get a job I might be interested in one of those
