While we can't argue the talent, I'll never forget this thread about Bilenky: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...d-bilenky.html

I don't think it necessarily reflects poorly. Seems like one of those "look back and chuckle" moments. But every time I see the name, I'll forever remember that thread.

And, DAMN that's a gorgeous frame!

This one took all of 5 days to turn up on eBay for 5x the ask + $75 shipping? Wow. https://www.ebay.com/itm/283671233186

Well, there's some better pics if anyone was interested. And yep, it's a Super Corsa.

Feel like I've seen this in the rotation once or twice already, but there's a Teledyne Titan up on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/193204124618?

Don't fully understand the hype but I'm certain there's probably something huge or obvious I'm missing.

City Bikes co-op PDX.

Bob Kamzelski is Bantam Bike Works here and worked for Bilenky.

I encourage everyone to checkout his work, very awesome frames and bikes he builds.

Well you're right, the Merz came to me that color and this is close and looks even better in person.

I get compliments on the Merz everywhere I go with it and love the color.

The Bilenky is Dusty Rose I believe that has become very popular the last few years, Brian Chapman used it on a bike that was featured in BQ a while back.

Fortunately it is way too small.

NOS Peugeot 501 - 24-inch

Certainly seems overpriced, but it's still unusual, so I mention it.

My laptop is giving me fits right now, so am unable to upload an image. Sorry 'bout that.

Bilenkys are relatively common around here...they vary somewhat in detail/craft. Some periods/builders are better than others, and it also depends a lot on what the customer requests. His tandems are fantastic. The one above looks sharp, and I love the color.

I tried to get there, but not in time. Looking at the rest of the items for sale, he/she is not one of the big RVA bike flippers. More of a general collectible flipper. I've seen plenty of bikes that appear to be his on the local CL. Same pictures in front of the storage doors. They are always over priced and sit for long periods of time with no price drop. That seems to be the norm for the RVA flippers. Take a look at some of the bikes the Chesterfield flipper has up. Entry level C & V with prices above $150. Some of them have been sitting for over a year. That's a shame.

Schwinn Whizzer

For some of us this should bring back a memory or two.

Ebay item 323969925416

This is a vintage Schwinn Whizzer motor bicycle from the late 1940's or early 1950's. It is in parts and will require restoration. Many of the parts have surface rust. Most of the main parts like frame, fenders, motor, speedometer, tank, chain guard, etc, are solid. It is missing the handle bars, and likely missing some other parts. You get everything you see in the pictures. The serial number on the frame is B15888. The motor has H-67314, and 2204 W2 printed on it. Selling AS-IS for parts/restoration only. This is available for local pickup in Elmira, NY.

I’ve no connection with the seller, other than I used to have one just like it.

Cheers,
Mike

Nice try, at anywhere near that $$$$$ it would have to fit like a glove, bare minimum of 62-64cm.
