Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Go buy from PBK today!

1.58 to 1 makes PBK awfully cheap all of a sudden. As if it wasn't before... If only there was something I wanted to buy in stock.

you are right, that's what I did. I put an order for tubular tires, valve extenders and cement; plus extra small stuff.

If they ever had anything in stock, then yes things would be very cheap right now.

www.totalcycling.com and www.ribblecycles.com have good prices too, and are uk based. Ribble is having a 15% sale too.

Yeah, I don't know who I was kidding with my post-I've been unemployed for 6 months and no prospects in sight. Yay grad school.

And just because it's in stock and they let you buy it, don't expect to receive it anythime soon, I'm waiting 2+ weeks since I received an email stating my chain was shipped. I used to get my orders in 5-7 days.

^^ The one time I've ordered from PBK it took about a week to cross the pond. I think I did pay the extra few bucks to put my order at the top of the list, though.

Like I said, I used to get my orders rather quickly, but this last one is taking a while. That being said, it's hard to resist these prices, I may place another order tonight.

They're out of the cassette I need for my new wheel build. May swing back through and see if they have any tires I want. Debating on more Pro 3 Race's or something different.

For some reason when I pop in the code the price doesn't change.

Ive been buying exclusively from ebay (with 30% cashback) and PBK. however the PBK stuff is sparingly in stock and takes a while to show up. it took a month for me to get a RD, FD, and Im still missing a cassette.

Erliuc, I just put some sidis in my cart for fun and tried usarbr and USARBR. They worked for me. If you're in a different country it might be different... google 'em.

I bought Ergo 2s for $221.50 today.

The invoice quotes the exchange rate as 1.61.

You don't go buying things you need, you buy things you want.

MadCity - did you get the steel/lux ergo2s? I can't convince myself that those aren't a bit... umm... err... too flashy. I'm looking at the Energy CCs probably.

PBK related question: How come they have such great prices on tyres? Tires to the rest of us. The Vittoria tires on PBK are half retail in the US.

I find that most European web stores have better prices than US. I just bought some compact Ultegra's from PBK (last 170mm two days ago), and brifters from chainreactioncycle. Nashar, Performance, Pricepoint, etc., etc., don't even come close! Even the RPP on the European sites are much lower than what a Performance would show. Strange.
