BF Reunion Ride - 10/17/2012 ????

I'm trying to drum up the old NorCal BF gang for a ride. I was originally going to shoot for this weekend, but didn't really get too many responses on that. Plus, looks like there is a Strava run challenge for this weekend, so maybe a lot of people are doing that.

I'm thinking two possible venues .... Mt. Tam, or Mt. Diablo. The selfish side of me was thinking Mt. Hamilton ... gee, what's with me and mountains?

Anyhow, I'm thinking Saturday, 11/17/2012 for this reunion.

Are you planning on relativistic speeds?

Wish I could, but I can't ride on Saturday's for family reasons.

I hear Hamilton roads are newly chip sealed and really annoying.
I've never ridden Tam and it's on my list, so depending on the date I am very interested.

EDIT: If you mean 11-17 I'm highly likely.

Didn't I mention this is a ride going at warp speed? Anyhow, yeah, it's for 11/17

Maybe but a)I'm slow, b)I'm old, but not part of the "old" Norcal BF gang, c)It'll be hard, d)It'll be hard. I've run up Mt Hamilton from Grant Park in my distant past; didn't seem all that bad at the time. ACTC group just rode up about a week ago and I didn't see any complaints about the road surface.

I'm up for any of those rides...but I'm being installed as my local association of REALTORS (R) president for 2013, and since planning, organizing and running the event is my job, I know I'll be in no shape for a morning ride. Hell, I'll be grateful for an afternoon ride.

Maybe the next one...

Sorry I don't think I'll be able to make it! Also out of climbing shape.

I'm not part of the "old BF gang", but I wouldn't mind doing a road climb up Mt. Tamalpais. So far I've only climbed the dirt side of that mountain, which is pretty steep btw

Video would be recorded, as always.

I goofed ... I thought I wasn't working Saturdays, but it turns out I am this month. So I am now switching it to Sunday, 11/18 ... Sorry ... I must be getting old.

Aw, too bad. I did have to change it to Sunday ... it would be cool to ride with you again, someday.

I'm also fairly new so it wouldn't be a reunion, but I'm totally down to climb Mt Tam on Sunday. Anyone else coming from SF and want to meet up at the Golden Gate Bridge earlier and ride up?

As much as I'd like to try Tam for the first time my son, DIL and grandson are getting in from Boston at lunch time. As it is I've got to get up early to ride my age since it seems likely to rain on Monday, my official b'day.

I'm 1) not an old timer, 2) probably not ready for Mt. Tam anyway, and 3) committed to finishing our great garage cleanout before the dumpster is hauled away Monday, so I won't make it - but I love the idea and hope to join in on some future rides.

it looks like a rain storm is coming for Sunday. With this in mind, I'm thinking about postponing this ... plus, I don't have a lot of people chiming in for this. I'll post another thread when I'm ready to re-schedule.

Psh, I ain't afraid of no rain! Maybe that's because I grew up in Portland... but I'm still gonna ride on sunday either way.

Well, there's this coming up Saturday. Maybe something less climby like the House Of Pain route that starts at Danville Peets.
