Nitpick of the day, not a true mixte, "sport" version, no twin tubes running stem to stern.

Thanks for that illustration - I did not know about all the varietes
Funny you should call out that one, I actually thought about it as I typed it "am I using 'Mixte' correctly?" As I have said many times here - "I only know enough to get myself in trouble". Funny part is I did (should have) know this bike was not a Mixte (single bar), I just was moving too fast and apparently did not look very carefully.

Not nitpick - a good clarification

Panasonic Team America - $750 - LA, CA
https://offerup.com/item/detail/ada4...d1ef9d?cid=7.4
assuming the pricing is optimistic on this one . . . but, "if you are looking for of one of these?"
Sent inquiry to lister, he said:
"I’m pretty sure it’s a 1986, or within one year of that. Saw one exactly like it on a Panasonic Vintage bike museum webpage which said they did this paint scheme that year. Cursive black writing near the seat post says “Custom Painted by Ueki”. There’s a red Campagnolo decal on the opposite side. My father upgraded the components after he bought it new to Shimano 600, which was a better group set than the Campy that was originally on it."
Couldn't read words on the top tube found pics of another one (1986) online looks to be same frame but with Dura Ace

Spotted at Oddball LBS
This is a small dealership mostly dealing in special-needs cycling, e-bikes, and generic used bikes. But there are some gems hidden away in the basement. One frame in particular caught my eye because I've never heard of it, nor seen this kind of construction in the seatpost cluster. I'm sure it would be for sale if I asked, but I need more information before I decide to offer to facilitate. Here's what I know:
PM me here if you are interested, and I will go measure it up and verify whether it is Columbus or Stainless. Understand, when built up, this bike will have extremely quick geometry due to an extremely short wheelbase. Approximate weight with appropriate components should be around 19 lbs. Not my cup of Chianti, but I know there are some L'Eroica riders here.
Since they are a bike shop, I will simply hook you up with the seller and you can haggle and make arrangements from there. I hope I'm not violating any sacred roolz posting this way, but this bike deserves a good home.

- It is a Rigi, made in Italy.
- It is either Columbus or some kind of Stainless Steel. I'll bring a magnet with me next time to find out.
- Are these really stamped dropouts? That seems odd...

Take another - the Rigi came with a special front mech made by Gian Robert; as far as I know it's the only one that fits the mount. Does that machine have that mech?
EDIT: add a please somewhere if it pleases you, as it was not my intention that brevity be taken as brusqueness.

Is it just me, or is the word "Please" rapidly disappearing from the modern lexicon? That came across as a command, although I expect it wasn't meant as such. Of course, the "Grumpy Old Men" movies were made in Minnesota for good reason.
Okay, I've had ample interest in this, so I will pursue it. The shop keeps odd hours, so I will take the next opportunity when I see them open to fully photograph and measure this frameset, including the bespoke FD bracket. I can see already that I made a mistake in asking for PMs. I should have just posted the dealer's contact info in the first post. Sorry about that. What I'm going to do is send the rest of this information to the first person who PM'd me. If they pass, I'll post it here, up-for-grabs.

Getting to the point where I'm taken aback now days when somebody shows common courtesy that was the order of the day not that long ago.
Sad times and more to come I think.
We seem to take each other a bit for granted here sometimes, I think we toss the decorum as we drill down maybe assuming its implied which it may be but a rapid direct response or query should still be an "ask" with the proper courtesy.
