That's some awesome news! I was lucky to recover one of the four bikes stolen from me through the years, so I know how good it feels to welcome one back home

Good to know. I grew up there (South Pasadena, actually) and I have a couple friends in the bike shop community.

The Cinelli belongs to the owner of Velo Pasadena (he has an incredible collection of vintage race bikes). It was recovered by the owner of Steve’s Bikes in Altadena (he specializes in restoration of C&V bikes). I’m hoping to find out more about the recovery.

Great news!!!

It's funny how bike thieves often try to sell stolen bikes to another bike shop down the road. Like they don't know each other...

What I find amazing in my area, is indeed all of the shop owners know each other. It's actually quite a fraternity. I've never heard another owner say a bad word about another. I've even heard customers bad mouthing one shop while in another. They never chime in or feed the bad blood. Nor do they verbally compete against another. It's actually refreshing.

Thank goodness! A priceless treasure for the owner deserves to be in the right place. I know I'm far away in CO, but having a recurring CL Cinelli alert, was keeping an eye out just in case.

...I now feel safe in posting a photo of my own very similar, (but much less custom equipped,) bicycle.
