Fenders on a Specialized Diverge?
As mud season approaches here in Maine, I'm thinking about fenders for my Diverge. I tried the "plug-and-plays" last year, when I bought the bike, but gave up. Basically won't work with the 38mm tires I'm running. Anyone tried the SKS Speedrockers? Any other ideas?

I'd be interested to hear what people have to say on this. I'm looking for fenders for my new Warbird. Two friends, one with a Warbird, the other with a Topstone, have the SKS Speedrockers and they look like they work well, but I don't know what else is out there.

I've been riding with the SKS Speedrockers this winter on my Cannondale Topstone, and I've been really impressed with the ease of install, their stability, and silence. The only downside is a little less coverage (bottom of front and rear) than what I prefer. The front fender position ended up being better than what I expected, I never really got a lot of toe spray, but I couldn't definitely see more of a "rooster-tail" of spray coming off my rear fender that cause riders to keep a little bit of distance from me.
I did just install a set of the Ass-Savers!, the ToeTector and BroTector onto the Speedrockers. So far, no concerns about any additional toe-strike up front, beyond what I can get just with contact with the SKS fender itself. The BroTector, in the back doesn't sit exactly how intended, most likely, due to the shortness of the SKS fender in the rear. But, it will definitely do the job of cutting down on the spray to my rear.
I'll be removing the Speedrockers once the winter is done, and likely riding without any fenders unless needed for a specific ride. I did also order a Fender Bendor Big, Speed Mullet Regular, and a Mudder Mini, from Ass-Savers!, for the "spontaneous" need for some water/mud protection.

I've been quite pleased with the Speedrockers on my Diverge. Easy install, quiet, and stable. I noticed during the first few rides that there was a slight amount of sliding at the mounting point near the top of the fork, but I did not use the little silicone stickers because I figured I might be making small adjustments. For now I just did unobtrusive black zipties to keep it from sliding, and it seems to have worked fine. For my purposes the coverage is fine. Rode in a light rain today, some dirt, and no stripe down the back of my jacket. I would have uploaded pics, but that never seems to work right for me. Picture a Diverge, picture the Speedrockers, picture a happy cyclist with a clean back.
