Interesting concepts to provide for growth where space is limited and at the same time to do this in an attractive manner. In the US we usually have more space to work with in most cities. Europe is more like Manhattan, which being an island has limited land.

Cycleway town
That looks horrific. Most of our paths look like this.
To be fair, there's little choice if you're tackling a dense concrete jungle. It all goes a bit wrong in out city centre, too.
In the bottom right of this picture, you can see where our paths go to bridges, which take us into the city centre (which takes up most of the photo). Then it's pretty much all concrete until we get back to suburbia half a mile opposite (top left hand corner).

Glad somebody actually noticed. But really? Photoset? Would that be like: Crankset, wheelset, chainset, groupset, spokeset, tireset, cableset, cogset, or any of the other normal things with an unnecessary “set” added on? Or even worse a “colorway”.
What’s wrong with cranks, wheels, chain, spokes or tires? I mean like regular words. Or are you all hung up on your jerseyset?

No, but Oregon DOES have the 205 bridge bike path, over the Columbia, connecting Oregon to Washington. Yeah, you have cars on either side of you, but you ARE physically isolated, and it does span a big river.
Indeed it would be nice to have some of that exciting cycling infrastructure all over the US.
