Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

butt butter

I went on a bike tour with a group of people. And my seat would really kill my butt after the long rides even with padded bike shorts. Anyway, some person had this stuff that you put on your butt and made you feel like you were sitting on cloud 9. Now I apply it when ever i ride. The stuff is called like Butt butter. It is the best. I highly recommend to anyone!

AKA Chamois Cream. Used by runners as well since it’s a skin lubricant. Reduces chafing etc.

Some of us real cyclists that put in some milage use this or similar products.

I just figured he wanted to say nutbag and butt butter in the same sentence.

It's not that great.

If you wanna save money on a chamois cream get a generic vitamin E cream from your favorite drug store. Works as well, costs less than half as much. I've tried Butt Butter and Assos and another one I can't remember the name of, but a $5 tub of vitamin E cream from Walgreen's works just as well.

I use a similar product (forget the brand-name) on all long rides and long runs. Rand my first marathon 2 days ago covered in the stuff! No chafing.

I have tried 2 things for chamois cream. The first was for my first 50 mile ride for which i only had my worse pair of cycling shorts clean for so I went with Bag Bomb, which my GF had around. I recently went out to pick up some Bag Bomb for myself at a CVS and found this stuff called Udderly SMOOth. Both are actually for cows utters but seem to work. I paid 4 bucks for the Udderly Smooth a 12 oz tub. It is better in my opinion then Bag Bomb cause it washes off pretty well and bag bomb stays on your hands for the whole ride and more. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it. Has some of the smae ingredients as butt butter from what I remember.

I use Cytomax Supositories (TM). The creamy outer shell lubes you up, while the hard inner capsule gives you the energy you need to beat the other guy. Cytomax Suppositories (TM) give you that nutrient boost you need, right when you need it, without taking your hands off the bars. About an hour into a ride I will clench my butt cheeks, popping the Cytomax Suppository, and releasing the nutrients into my ass that I need to keep going and going. Through the blood vessels in my colon the Cytomax magic goes, and I've got my second wind! These things are amazing...

Okay, I don't often ride for more than an hour yet. But boy oh boy, when I do... Cytomax here I come!

I go with Novocaine. I have a small syringe strategically placed in the groove of my Specialized Body Geometry saddle. When after an hour of hard riding it feels as if my butt will fall off, I aim for the nearest speed bump and go full tilt over it. The impact causes the needle to penetrate my cycling shorts and deliver a dose of anesthetic right in the perineal area. I can't even tell if I have a butt for the rest of the ride.

I have a saddle with a lump that pushes on my prostate. You know, it feels good...

Pie is good after a long, hard ride.
