There's someone locally selling a bike like that for $140, and it's in a lot better shape.

Belgium?

Schwinn Road/Racing Bike for Sale

I am selling a belgium-made Schwinn Road/Racing Bike. The condition of this bicycle is good and we have rarely taken it out for a ride because we were too short to ride it and as mountain bike users we were not comfortable with the ride. Again, this is a Road/Racing Bike. The entire bike frame is made out of light aluminum and aluminum rims that were made in Belgium. The front wheel can easily be unattached by a little lock mechanism at the fork of the bike so transporting is an absolute breeze. We are not looking to part this bike out.

They say girls are attracted to tall guys, so I guess if you can straddle that ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY cm frame then you might be needing extra condoms.

I am always surprised(or not surprised) at how many amateur sellers think however far the seatpost sticks out, is the size of the frame and/or rider. Countless times I have seen ads for BIG MANS BIKE, only to find the ad is for a 17 inch hybrid with a foot or more of seatpost, and a super tall stem.,,,,,BD

What's worse: those flipped bum bars or that price tag? $720 for a stock Pista? I thought the Minneapolis Pistadex was lower than that.

Well I geuss the seller thinks the thinks the turned up bars ugly MTB stem, cheap red bartape and new cheapo plasstic pedals make it worth a couple hundred more than low retail. I saw this model going for $500 new at Velo swap about 2years ago.

And he was blinded by the chrome. That's got to raise the price a bit, you know.

I know you make more money parting things out, but why would you separate perfectly good frame and fork, sell them at the same time, and admit it? Rossin chrome fork in reasonable condition. From same Rossin Record frame I am presently selling. grrrr

I sent the Rossin seller a message and he responded pretty quickly. He is selling it for a friend, and will try to talk the friend into auctioning the frame and fork together. A reasonable answer I thought. The frame is in my size range, so it hit home more than usual. We'll see.,,,,BD

I think they meant: "this bike is 18 years old, and I paid $530 for it." 1996 Kona Fire Mountain - BikePedia I like how they get the keyword spam wrong too.

Yes, something like that.

My father-in-law (RIP) traded cig pack proofs in for giveaway swag items on occasion. He got a couple of nice fleece pullovers out of the deal.

The folding setup allows the Fuji/Marlboro bike to sit tucked away in the corner, unused, while the smoker is tucked away in a chair on bottled oxygen.

When I worked a rear-loader garbage truck we collected Marboro Miles and Pepsi Points. Ended up with almost every thing in both catalogs. Just sold the Marboro rain slicker recently, it was pretty nice...
