@northbend That said, Jeddah is hot and humid in the summer and really nice - even pleasantly cool - around December-January.

Here's me with my 1981 Fuji Royale that I have converted into a 3-speed light roadster in the English tradition. We rode the Cannon Valley Trail between Red Wing, MN and Cannon Falls, with this stop in the middle at Welch. This bike just glides over the pavement, and I find that 3-speeds are plenty for the gently rolling terrain you find on a rail trail.

Thank you for the 'report' from Jeddah. Very interesting. I've never been to your part of the world and, at my ripe old age, am unlikely to. My son got to visit but not me. Looks like I would, though, enjoy a trip there in December with my old Raleigh. Here in Pennsylvania in December I'll have my salty-roads bike staged for riding and I'll have all my layers out ready for riding around the block at 25 deg F.

I tried riding with our dog in the carrier but in no way, shape or form was he going to allow it. He bolted out like a springbok! Our little daughter is now the content passenger in the carrier. It looks like an enjoyable event!

From Saturdays A,B and C group at Performance. I did the A on the old steel and it was a b buster but did not get dropped. We did loose one of our four. B&C are no drop.

It's a great event that happens every 3 months where the city of Los Angeles shuts down 3-6 miles of city streets for its residents to ride all day. I go every time with family but this time brought the little guy along.

I have the same problem with my larger dog. She can't sit still enough to ride the trailer safely.

I was dropping a couple gears on a steeper climb so I had one catch up of about a quarter mile on the downside. Luckily we did mostly hills or I might have been out. When we got back the manager asked how our ride went and I mentioned a little trouble. I told him I needed a little adjustment when I get home (I ride to shop). He said no, give to the mechanic to look at. They had him drop the work he was doing and put on the stand. When done I asked what I owed and got a "nothing" response. Not a big repair, but cool of them to take care of in an instant.
Thanks, it was a blast. And I hurt for a couple days..

Hello to everyone,
This is my first post to the bike forum. I've been using your information for many moons, and now it's my pleasure to introduce my bike to the cyclist community.
This is my Ciocc "Moscow 80" recently acquired on ebay. I have rebuilt it with Campagnolo Nuovo Record drivetrain to its original configuration, and it now looks and rides sweet!
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do. This is my regular commuter bike, 5 times a week and longer rides on weekends. Here in Edmonton you need to use every opportunity with a relatively short riding season.

Gorgeous bike, @tsenyuta. Welcome to the forums.
The only thing I'd do differently if was mine is go back to 1980 with a proper alloy bottle cage and non-aero routing with the brake cables. And mount the taillight on the back of my helmet. (May as well keep the bike as clean and elegant as it was born)

Thanks Lascauxcaveman. It is hard to find the original alloy cage, plus the Campy Nuovo Record brakes levers I've gotten had only a non aero design. Still working on it, it's a never-ending story to tune up your bike

Man, your Coicc really pops, tsenyuta! Love the color.
I had a San Cristobal back in 1979 and I still think of it as one of the funnest bikes I have ever ridden.
Nice score! take care of that baby
