Anyone know how to pound out/re shape fenders?
I have some dents on the front fender that need to be removed. Is there a special technique for this? I have a vise and rudimentary technical ability but no roller wheel or other specialized tools.
thanks!
thanks!

Tools required:
1. Hole saw - "one size smaller" than your fender radius
2. 2X4
Cut the hole close to the edge of the 2X4, drill bit to hit just below the edge. The piece you cut out we'll call the "bung." It's my tool design, I'll call it what I want...
Slip your fender into the half moon hole of the 2X4, press the bung into the fender. Tap or pound on it with a mallet. Work around until you've mostly got the fender back in shape. You can deal with small dents using a ball peen hammer for fine tuning.
I had a shipment of real live honest to goodness vintage French fenders (mostly Lefol's) purchased at the big auction site from France. Some were heavily damaged in transport. I saved all of them with this method.
