Sucks that CCCX and Cal Aggie are the same day now, I wanted to do both, having won both last year! But I prefer circuit races, so doing CCCX on Saturday.

You get some other social features that are tied to KOMs as well. I think it is a good product and the power data is much easier to view than in training peaks (my opinion).
Have you used Golden Cheetah? It'll give you wayy more data than you could ever want. I just need to figure out how to get power data from wahoo app to GC. It uploads directly to Strava and isn't available to download from there.

Add /export_tcx at the end of the Strava ride url and it will download and then you can upload it to GC manually.

I wouldn't count that hotdog course as a true circuit race, but whatever floats your boat!

Can't wait until they switch back to the regular circuit/loop.

rain in monterey, dry in davis. I'll be in Davis. Maybe 2 races, maybe 1. Not sure I want to hang out up there for 200 hours in the cold.

I've never done any of his races, but will try to this year. I never could justify driving that far for fields that max out at like 10.

They did the same to Cherry Pie and the first Red Kite. Nothing the Saturday before either.

I haven't. It will probably sound absurd, but their color scheme (bright fluorescents against a dark backdrop) kills my eyes.

Well with everything else in GC, the colors are configurable. But yeah, the stock teal on black is brutal.

Hey, the fields max out at 20!
The bump doesn't draw too many guys either, but it's a no Brainer for me. Like I said, I like circuit races! Plus it's closer and the time works out. We have a team ride that Saturday, don't mind missing Cherry Pie. My only memory of that race was terribly cold and rainy.

It's more circuity than critty. It has rollers! The course suits me better.

Yessir ... not sure why Cal Aggie isn't in Davis or even on the UCD campus. They could come up with some stellar courses on campus.

Probably a lot easier to get a permit for Land Park than to deal with the UC bureaucracy.

Easy commute today. 1.5 hours of Z2 on the trainer last night was GRIM. I know, wah wah wah. That first week of mild intensity definitely hurts, though. The tempo efforts should start to feel more "normal" next week.

20 min test yesterday. Was nice and sunny when I started warming up and when I started my test. Was hitting target power and about 10 minutes in the skies just opened up. Buckets of rain and the temperature dropped considerably. I was still engaged mentally, but looking at the power file, I just tanked the last ten minutes. When I got back to the car arms and legs were so so cold. So ... I either need to re-test or my power just dropped about 30+ watts from target.

6x 30" high VO2 + 10-15" sprint workout at lunch, 1.25hrs total.

Last couple made me feel a little green, but I did it!

i've messed around with golden cheetah for about half an hour. It seems like a good deal, and does what it's intended to do. however, it doesn't appear to be nearly as user friendly as strava. On strava, you can just point to the power curve on the x-axis, and it will give you the corresponding power reading. on golden cheetah, it appears it feeds you too much info, most of which is probably irrelevant. oh well, it's FREE. Cancelling strava 30 day trial... NOW.

My ancient Macbook doesn't have enough memory for Zwift but the live feedback on the GC training screen works really well for trainerworkouts.
