had something I wanted to get started today in the lab, and one of my lab techs wasn't able to finish in time. rather than ask him to work a little OT for 15 min or start it late, I just did it myself. it was literally just filling 12ish vials with some product, recording masses and beginning heated solvent evaporation. by the mid point I was in flow state and things were going smoothly with my manual technique and I found it quite cathartic. I spend too much time at my desk sitting and thinking which is tiring.
next week my boss (dept head) is out on vacation so I am big man on campus. gonna crack the whip on these kids lol
