Garmin 510 with 2 bikes and Garmin Connect
I have both bikes setup on the 510 and both upload to Garmin Connect but I can't tell which activities are for each bike. There must be a way when a activity is uploaded that it indicates which bike it is.

I haven't used it in years, but I just looked at the redesigned GC and it appears there's indeed no way to tell. The only site that I've seen that makes this easy is Bikejournal.com and obviously it's just designed to track mileage. But you can segment between bikes, track the life of components, etc. You can do components on GC too, but not on multiple bikes.

Thanks... now both bikes are listed but the activities don't show which bike they are from.

The only possible way to differentiate between two bikes would be profiles. I don't think Garmin records the profile with the activity data. I tried to look at the fit data file but it is gibberish. Would the route and average speed help you to tell which bike you rode?

On the Garmin Connect web page for the specific activity, at the top left of the page, click on the "Gear" field, and select the bike ridden.
Refresh the display and the gear you selected will display on the right side of the page below the stats summary.
I don't use Connect regularly so I made up a Brand X bike entry so I'd have something to illustrate the process. I found that when you add your gear to Connect, be careful with the first field (date of) first use. Be sure that you've set that date earlier than any ride you want to record as using that gear. You can't select that gear for a ride dated earlier than the gear's first use date (duh) and you can't go back later and edit that first use date. It looks like you'd have to delete that gear record or at least add a duplicate with the earlier first use date.
