NOS Stronglight cranset dust caps.....for a sort of reasonable price (considering how much people usually sell the admittedly chintzy chromed plastic things these days for........) of 11 British pounds, delivered!
Maybe they are still expensive at that price and the price in English pounds just sounded cheap enough to American me??

A nice Shimano Dura Ace 7800 group for a Lemond Zurich build. I'll need an adapter or a different FD - 34.9 clamp won't fit on a 28.6 seat tube. Maybe an adapter and a braze-on FD would be smart.

Super comfy, and the color is much easier to get used to than I anticipated.

The funny thing is that I used a bid sniper app, thinking the competition would be fierce. But in the end, I was the only bidder lol

Nice. My personal favorite friction shifters.
BUT before you get too deeply into installation, check to ensure the mounting bolts are 5mm. Many of them are 4.5mm.

May be a stupid question, but would the 4.5’s screw in at all?

They'll go in the hole and kind of flop around, but you wouldn't be able to tighten them enough for the shifter to function properly.

Reason for my inquiry: building a Trek 460 (no shimano proprietary, came with Cyclone levers according to vintage trek), and what I’m fairly certain are 4.5 snug up against the lever nicely. I can tighten to where I feel resistance moving the lever.

Apparently NOS Suntour barcons from eBay, and a titanium Flite from Sloar. Pictured on the little metal cart I also picked up today.

I paid $56.50 shipped, pretty solid deal in my opinion. I think the instruction sheet will look good framed on the wall.

MAFAC five-dots!

And a dynamo with a little dynamo fender.

Does anybody else think it's funny that Ebay sellers all say "Herse/Singer" in the title of all the French stuff these days?

Not a bad day for the mailbox... @jethin

A clean set KKT Pro Ace pedals landed from across the country thanks to BF member jethin, and accent Record levers PayPal’d from a Craigslist seller up north.
