29er bmx cruiser options?
Hello all!
Been into bmx bikes since I was a kid. Looking to get 29er cruiser. I like the size and I'm 6ft tall. I just really want a bike to cruise around jump a couple crubs and a wheelie or two.
I've been looking at the new Se Big Ripper cost approx $600 bucks so anything else around that give or take would be cool. Heck id buy used... I'll ride 5 to ten miles at times. Any opinions or advise are appreciated. Thanks!

It's such a niche I think the SE Big Ripper is basically the only choice, other then the Framed 29'er.

A 29er BMX is basically a Big Boy's BMX bike. You might want to look at a 26" BMX.
Look at the Fairdale Taj - it seems to be made in mind with what you're looking to do:

I'm contemplating the SE Bikes OM-Duro 27.5"+.
I'm actually looking for a 29'er BMX bike, but I want a rear AND front caliper type brake. Any 29'ers like that available?

I don't know how serious they'd be for bmx (even recreational), but I've picked up two mongoose 26" dirt jump bikes in the last few months
https://www.walmart.com/ip/26-Mongoo...-Teal/22861842
both are current projects so I can't say much about performance (not really a bmx-er anyway), but one will get bmx bars, a layback seatpost and gears. hopefully it will be good for general fooling around and wheelies.

The Walmart Mongoose BMX bikes aren't built well enough for me personally. The things would be destroyed in a week of me riding around the gravel roads around my house.

Gary Turner is making 29er cruiser class. Kinda pricey at $399 for bare frame and fork, (would be way more expensive than the SE) but kinda tempting.

It's a different geometry. Here's an example of the style of bike I'm looking for:
Big Ripper 29" - Retro Series, Bikes | SEBikes.com
It looks like a kids bike (they're riding them now,...), but it was designed and built for adults. I may have to get 1, then see if I can add a front handbrake. It can easily accept my Shimano Nexus 8 speed rear hub. I have the non-disk brake hub. I should have gotten the disk compatible 1 instead.

I might get a Framed Twenty9er then add a few things......
Decent rims & frame. 6'3" 225. Longest top tube around.
Just wish the Big Ripper was a little more low key.
The ones available are a bit flashy for me......
But then I am old......... and think I would look clownish on one of the ones below.
Maybe the light blue one? Hmf...........

This SE Big Ripper is more our style I guess,... Even if I do like Public Enemy, I'd blank out the logo's.

Ordered a Framed Twenty9er today. The fact that Big Rippers are out of stock locally, and the 1" longer top tube on the Framed bike sealed the deal. With cash left over for the needed up grades. Will post when it shows up. Both the same 29 pounds.......

I can't wait to see what you think of it. I rode my son's 20" bmx bike on Sunday, and I'm feeling the need for 1 myself. At least a 24" wheeled bike. I definitely have the bmx lust back!!!
