Ebike usage in the Winter

Hello,

Ebikes are new to the US. Commonly industry experts tell us to store batteries indoors in a cool and dry place. Don't leave batteries in the cold or hot environment which causes battery degradation. What Temperatures are considered cold and hot. 0 C or 38 C? Do you ride your ebike in the winter? Is a mid drive ebike better than a hub drive ebike in the winter? What are your thoughts? Thank You for your input.
