Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Why not, if you’ve already got D2 why not make it worse?

It's also simpler to just slap an 11-28 on all the wheels in the house and not worry about it.

Christmas Eve and New Years Eve are two holidays which involve 36 hours of steady drinking, followed by getting in the car and driving back home. I learned (thankfully in time) to stay off the roads and let them have at it.

If I were to take up the guitar at age 67, could I learn to play like David Gilmore plays? Eric Clapton? Sheryl Crow?

Merry Xmas, etc!

Rode what what was certainly one of the slowest 47 mi. of my life and it took 20 min in the shower to restore blood flow to my feet. Didn’t see a single cyclist.
