Modified Tri-bars for going "up" the hill....allows for more aero with lean-back, a bit like highrise on choppers.

hahahaha, from the description, I was expecting an all campy raleigh professional. I had a Mk IV in the mid-to-late 70s, was an awesome bike, Reynolds 751 double butted, just a sweet ride.

Specialized has replaced their Hotrock line with Riprocks.

Trek's version is a Hot Mess

It's for the serious track athlete; less aero drag if the drivetrain is on the inside of the curves (vs. the outside). Great for your next 1 hour record attempt.

More importantly, don't check your time/change the buttons while passing a school.

I think the assessment of condition and value is way off.
This poor thing is a beat down Frankenbike.

1985 Specialized Allez $429 plus shipping.
Edit: just lowered to 399. Woohooo

I dunno, those were pretty nice frames, and that has nice Mavic wheels, those specialized cranksets were awesome light and strong, and I think the gears and stuff are period correct. true, its the Suntour Superbe based SE, not the straight Allez campangolo version

I agree..i have an 85 in pretty nice shape. Although the components may be period correct, they aren't original as the ad claims.
the condition is also described as a little more sunny than the pics show.
thats a lot of corrosion. More than just a touch up.
maybe I'm being harsh but that bike is beat.
is it worth $465 shipped? Not to me. Maybe someone. I'm curious to see what happens
