Wow - that was not the explanation I was expecting! Good for you, thinking outside the box

Let's not forget that the seller is adamant that the pedals aren't included.

You pay extra for the privilege of buying your own choice of pedals, you know.

I go the other way because I don't want a discussion. I told him not to reply and to block me as a buyer because I was certainly going to block him. Fraudster.

Dang! If I had only known the value I would have kept this “prototype” Cannondale and auctioned it. Seems like it was customized in the same fashion!

I never liked those 3.0 or 2.8 series frames..........
I destroyed a CAD3 frame when I fell on top of it while walking with it.....NEVER would have hurt an SR...........

Gotta love the “stories” that salesmen come up with.

Remember “It was owned by a little old lady from Pasadena who only used it to drive to church on Sunday”?

They just look like the normal dimples to me.
The dimples on the chainstays are identical to the dimples on my Crit Series of similar vintage. The dimple on the seat stay... not so much.

If the shape of a dimple on a chain stay is an issue, probably better to move on.

I will definitely try to avoid doing that again!

Roof rack + parking garage. This bike took all the damage. It was in the fork mount rack which held it really well. Two other bikes were clamped by the down tubes and came out of the rack. They dropped to the ground with just some minor scuffs. Rack was beat to hell, car took some scrapes.

This is was a bit of a loss because it was a 49cm frame with 650c tires. Not easy to find a real road bike to fit kids. Luckily for me my youngest has grown out of it.

I stripped it down in the hotel parking lot and tossed the frame remnants in a dumpster. The components will live on.
