heading across Nevada. will probably do this between July-Sept when i can find a week. figure i need 4 days to get across then turn around for a 100mi or so an drent a car to get back home. i've been wanting to do this for so long and i believe i am ready for it this year.

I always expect the worse, that way when I'm right I'm ready to deal with it or when wrong I'm pleasantly surprised. Pretty much been right from the first test (diagnosis) in 2015 so getting ready for more treatment.

So far I have a trip to Seattle in early March where I don't expect the weather to cooperate, a trip to San Fran/Yosemite in May, Florida in late march, Santa Fe/Grand Canyon in August. On each of these I plan to get some kind of riding in. Seattle I'll do BG trail and around the lake to return on the new 520 path and to ride around town to all of my old places. SF I'm planning Mt. Tamalpais, Florida (West Palm) and Santa Fe I don't have anything specific planned and may not have time.
There aren't any group rides in NYC that I'm planning at this point. I always did the NYC Century but that's been discontinued. I'm going to try to organize a Tour de Brooklyn for the spring, something much longer than what Transportation Alternatives would do, and more for roadies.

I'm planning to do many more cycling club rides than I was able to last year. I want to move up a group level to where keeping up is challenging.
I plan on doing the Garden State Gran Fondo this year as well as the MS City To Shore Ride. If I get around to signing up perhaps a farm to fork fondo that is in my geographic area.

April 25 Ocean to Bay Bike Tour Bethany Beach Delaware (depending on the weather will be my first century)
May 30 Bikes and Beer Hershey PA
July 26 Ben to the Shore (Philly to Atlantic City)
August 16 The Lancaster (PA) Covered Bridge Classic
I'm keeping it to that and hope to be able to make myself proud of my performance.

Don't have any out of state rides planned this year but these are the ones that are pretty much annual rides.
Feb 15 - Honor Ride (St. Petersburg, Fl) - Metric century
March 7-8 - MS 150 (Citrus Tour) - My 10th year. Mileage will depend on the team.
March 14 - Dean's Ride (Plant City, FL) - Metric century or the Ride 4 the Animals (Dunedin, FL). Both will be a metric century but I'm not sure which one I'll be doing.
March 21 - Clean Air Ride (Inverness, FL) - Metric or full century, Haven't decided yet.
October 4 - Rails to Trails (Inverness, FL) - Metric or full century.
October 23-25 - Florida Coast to Coast - Ormond Beach, FL to Tarpon Springs, FL - 230 miles. My 7th year doing this ride.

Lots of ideas, and I hope a couple of them will work out. I've done a few organized rides back before I retired, (Ride the Rockies, GRABAAWR and one in Idaho), but cycling with 2000 of new friends and camping out on a football field isn't as appealing as it once was. Here's the list of where I'd like to go:
- Salt Lake City in an AirBnB. Take FrontRunner (commuter rail) to Ogden, then ride the entire length of the Jordan River Parkway to Provo, take FrontRunner back. Or do it in two days.
- Cowboy Trailin Nebraska, perhaps combined with
- Mickelson Trail in South Dakota.
- Montana/Idaho: Route of the Hiawatha and Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes
- Amtrak to Pittsburgh, then the Allegheny Passage/ C&O Canal to Washington, Amtrak back.

For the last several years we have participated in a recumbent trike rally on the first weekend in Xenia, Ohio the first weekend in May. Our plan is to repeat this year but Mrs. Grouch is recovering from knee replacement surgery so we'll have to see how she does.

Yesterday I booked my a June 13th flight to Missoula--first class, of course. 
Toying with the shoulder season. In 2016 it was 32 degrees when I woke up on the morning of the first day of riding. A couple of days before I arrived it snowed 5" on a pass I would climb on Day 3. Fortunately, it melted quickly. I did get a little sleet during the climb.

Should end up being around 665 miles when all is said and done. Quite manageable in 13 days with one rest day. A good deal of dirt though (some quite hilly/mountainous), which will make things harder.

I'm hoping to do the annual Seattle to Portland ride in July. Roughly 205 miles. Back to back centuries. I did it back in 91 and 92 but its been a long time since. I'm building my saddle time right now. I'm a bit older and creakier.

I nixed my trip to Australia and the IPWR, so this year will be whatever brevets will work out for me. June will be BRAN and NUMB in Nebraska. July the double triple bypass in Colorado and possible a combination of RAGBRAI and Iowa's Ride. And hopefully a little tour in September.

I did that 4 or 5 times back in the 80s, 200 miles in one day. I never tried to do it in 2 days as I always figured that after the first 100 mile day the last thing I'd want to do is another. One year where I didn't do the ride I was at my friends house in Tenino and he was also having a group of people stay overnight from the ride since he was not far from the stop. They were all dragging the next morning.

I know @jppe as a strong rider, who's retired, and sometimes his wife drives the sag wagon.
I'm still working, though with generous time off to be shared among some colleagues, and my wife and I were compatible touring companions back in the day.
Ever since I heard about the Great Ohio Bike Adventure (GOBA) I have investigated riding it with my wife. It is a week long, seemingly fairly easy loop in Ohio; a one-day drive from Boston, and near Michigan where we could visit family.
Up to a couple years ago, GOBA offered an optional Hotel package rather than standard camping, but even now at least advises participants where to make their own arrangements in the various towns they visit.
A couple weeks ago my wife, who now rides only casually mostly on MUPS, and I discussed participating this June, our first cycle tour together since about 1986. However, the dates are not available to me from work. So if anyone knows of any East Coast / mid Atlantiic / near Midwest (about as far west as Illinois) / Canadian week-long loop tours, within about 1000 miles of Boston, with the possibility of Hotel accomodations, let me know.
I prefer a loop rather than end-to-end to eliminate the transport back to the starting point.

...In Ann Arbor MI in the 70’s I really realized the utility of bicycles for commuting, and began touring on a five-speed Schwinn Suburban, but soon bought a Mercier as did my girlfriend, later my wife. We toured in Michigan and Ontario.
In 1977 we moved to Boston on our bikes, as a bicycling honeymoon from Los Angeles to Washington, DC and then took the train up to Boston. We have toured in New England and the Maritime Provinces, and one trip to the DelMarVa peninsula....

If I/we were to resume touring, it would at least be a credit card style, if not an organized tour. On that honeymoon though, finding a place to stay was a memorable part of the adventure:
