Need help with a Var 380 tapping tool.

Got a couple questions about the Var 380 tapping and facing tool. I have the faceing tool:

And I purchased a set of taps to use with it, but on receiving them its not clear how I would use them as the guide rod on the faceing tool is 14mm and the bore of the taps is 19mm.

Its also not obvious as how to get the faceing tap off of the 380 handle.

On another thread 18 mm was mentioned as the bore diameter for a Var tap,

so I need to determine whether the taps that where sold to me as the same as Var specs are actually usable. Thanks, Woody

I remove the tap retaining nuts from the VAR-380 tap handles and run the taps into the shell, then remove the handles leaving the taps in the shell. The bore of the taps then serve as a pilot for the facer tool. Once faced, the tap handles remove the taps from the shell and the retaining nuts re-installed.
