It looks fast standing still from this angle. Beautiful job on the refresh!

Out of a yard barn was given this lovely

I went to look at several bikes that some ladies inherited and was given this bike. All original 78 Le Tour 2 even the tires are original to the bike ..just added air and polished it up and rode like new. was stored upside down hanging with flat tires. I think she is a keeper.

Nice. Looks like the saddle clamp needs to be rotated 180º. Or not. However it fits for the rider.

City Bike for Ellen

This bike is finally far enough along that I feel like it's okay to show it.

A Flickr album is also available with "twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was..."

A big WOW, Zastolj, beautiful Bertin. this one just flat jumped out at me, nothing flashy or over the top, just a nicely executed bicycle. I can understand why those pesky withdrawals are setting in, get over that flu quickly.

This is an original bike (I forgot to take photos of my own before the rebuild) that I found on the net.

1981/82 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 - not pretty, rides well

Just picked it up this morning for $5 at a garage sale. Not original seat, nor rims (weinmann alloys, possibly off of a different schwinn), paint beat up and decals sad. Runs, shifts great. Need tape, brake pads, better cleaning then I have given in (just dawn and a toothbrush so far) and probably the bearings.

A lot of fun. Different than the GT tandem or my GT Arette.

Campagnolo never marketed a complete bike, just components. I see a Campagnolo decal on your bike, but the components I see appear to be from Shimano.

Thanks a lot JohnDThompson for the comment. I am clueless to these things. Is this bike good to buy for 600 USD?

Value is often quite market-dependent, but you could ask on the C&V Appraisals forum:

Bought yesterday for $30. 1982 Univega Sportour 54cm. Suntour Arx. Tange Champion tubing. Nothing amazing but in decent shape. Even he tires aired up. Here it is after I cleaned it up a little. Only added the bottle holder.

Schwinn Premis

Picked this up last week. Ready to Ride all original except for new bar tape, tires and seat. I think I over paid for the bike($175) but liked the look and how well it rode. The guy said he was clean freak and cleaned it every time he rode it. A lot faster than my old 2000 Giant mtb with slicks.

^That Premis is a great looking machine. One notch down from the beloved Tempo but the frame is pretty much identical. From the catalogs, it appears the Premis was only offered in 1988 and featured an interesting mash-up of components offered with the white finish. Looks to be in great condition so I think you did fine at $175.

Here's mine.

I built this one up back in 1993 and then got hurt. Between the hurt, work, and family it didn't get ridden much. I expect its only got a few thousand miles on it. The good part of that is that its in pretty much new condition with no signs of any issues at all. I've been running it on my rollers but hopefully will have it back on the road soon.

I think the frame is a 1992 but I'm not sure now. I need to pull the rear wheel off and look. I think the year will be on the inside of one of the dropouts.

Way back in 1973 a guy handed me his De Rosa to try out. I was just a punk kid in Jr. High riding around on an old Bottecchia. I've been wanting a De Rosa ever since, and we don't see anywhere near enough of them around here, so here's mine. I picked this up about a month ago. Only took about 43 years...
