30 Day Challenge for Me

I'd been feeling sluggish lately and found myself weighing more than I ever have 251.3lb so decided to go for a bike ride. I went to get on my bike and found it dusty with two flat tires and the energy expended to pump them up left me winded. I've decided to challenge myself (and anybody interested) to riding a minimum of ten miles a day for the next 30 days. I'm two days in but will go 32 if anybody climbs aboard. I did ten miles yesterday and felt pretty good but got pretty tired in the afternoon, went out this morning and boy did my tail end hurt. Obviously I've been away from this too long and I'm starting from scratch but I'm gonna do it!! Who's with me?? No losers and everyones a winner so let's get out there and ride!!

My wife made a good point by saying "What about folks that can't ride ten miles". She's absolutely right and if anybody feels excluded then I apologize, feel free to dive in at 5 or 2 or 1 or whatever you can manage. 30 days of working out is my goal to get back in the groove.

I’m on my 24th day straight with a 7.1 mile average . Had one 5.5 ride back in July , but had a 12.1 and a 10.2 mile rides mixed in there .
Have only miss one day since June 25th .
But my knees are wanting a day off .
I’ve gotten to the point where I feel like I need to ride even if it’s a short one .

5 days in! My bike was pretty "creaky" today so I'll be playing with a little maintenance tonight. Working tomorrow at 9am so I'll be getting up pretty early to ride.

That's awesome! looks like you're killing' it. Got the sixth day in this morning by getting up at 5:30. Found a loose pedal last night but hasn't solved all the noises.

Tomorrow will make 30 days straight riding for me for a total of 213.2 miles, plus whatever I ride tomorrow.
If I ride 6.8 miles tomorrow, that’ll give me 220 miles with an average of 7.33 .
Shortest ride was a 5.5 mile ride cut short by a rain shower . Longest was 12.1 miles .

I am picking up a new bicycle later today so starting Wednesday I too shall take the 30 day/10 miles a day challenge. My cycling has really dropped off during the beer virus due to all the public parks and washrooms all closed. But they are open again here.

I got the challenge where I post on Instagram everything I eat. I try to lead a healthy lifestyle. And that is why I am embarrassed to show to people if I eat something bad.

Nice challenge, I will hit the 310 miles easy but 10 a day is very difficult with work. I will try this however starting today....

Hit day eleven today. Not too hard as I had the day off as well as the next two. The work days where I have to get up at 5:30 definitely add difficulty.

Well day one ride on the new bike was a mere seven miles. I kept having an issue shifting so I stopped and had family pick me up to bring bike back to the shoppe. Turns out the new bike has a bent derailleur hanger. Oh boy.
