That feeling when you make a lasagna and then go on a fast group ride and come home really hungry and you forgot there was a lasagna and there's a lasagna!

The best part of the ride was watching TKP and my teammate, who obviously conned their (mutual) coach into letting them go on the ride by saying they were just going to sit in. There will be some explaining to do.

Aside from the one pull on sand hill I don't think I'll face too much coach wrath, but given that teambro raced yesterday, he may be drawn and quartered.

Those mystery guys were definitely hammerheads!

Another nice ride up the coast into work this morning, same route as last Wednesday. 60 miles, not too much climbing maybe 3000 feet. Stopped at Trouble for some toast and coffee in the Sunset before continuing into the city. Got 3, 8-10 minute efforts in along the way.

Probably should have done my other 3.5 hour route including 2x20, but it's not as fun!

Reading about ya'lls morning rides gives me motivation to ride in the morning... and then the alarm goes off and I snooze til work remembering i can still ride a few hours in the evening haha one of these days i'll get back into the morning routine.

Moderate ride tonight to loosen up the knee and some openers tomorrow. Weekend of crits ahead and then taking my Cat 3 upgrade!

First ride on the new bike. 60 miles, 3000 feet climbing. I love it!

Why is it that my Garmin only craps out on rides when I'm going really well?

Finally got myself outside after about a month all indoors, felt good. 212 NP (0.87 IF) for 90mins. I had never noticed my outdoor power being all that much different from my indoor power in the past, but today, for whatever reason, it felt a lot easier sustaining 255-265w vs 240ish inside (at least as far as heart rate shooting up), although I don't have a long enough sample to know for sure. I feel slightly less inadequate though lol

Recovery ride. One of those days where you find someone's wallet sitting on a sidewalk with everything still in it and turn it in to the police then a driver honks at you and yells out the window but he's yelling "nice bike!" instead of "get off the road" then you get a flat a mile from home and start walking because you don't want to use a co2 so close to your door and a team sponsor happens to be driving by in a pickup truck and gives you a ride the rest of the way.

Wife recently discovered she likes spin class, so I joined her and a friend at Flywheel this evening. First time trying spin. Was really fun and a good workout.

They show everyone's "power" numbers (a mystery proprietary cumulative energy measurement) from time to time to make things competitive for those of us who like that sort of thing. Of course I "won" the class, but a couple of the other guys were dangerously close! There was a surprising number of guys there, maybe 30%.

My legs went on strike today. Planned 1 hr/.94 IF interval workout ended up as 45 min/.57 IF. Meh.

Openers through the park system on my way to work.

Side note: I was slightly worried when I bought the new commuter/pit bike that I would end up liking it better than my Ritchey Swiss Cross (my 'A' cyclocross bike). I needn't have worried. Such a delight to zip around on a race-ready Swiss Cross. It feels so frisky! That bike has some secret sauce or something. I love it.
