Trail building

Obviously, at least ONE person wants to have a dialog about trail building.... here's IMBA's Trail Building Crew schedule:

Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew Schedule
Most Trail Care Crew visits last four days, allowing us to assess local trails, strengthen partnerships with local clubs and land managers, host an evening event at a bike shop or other location, conduct a 1 to 2-day Trailbuilding School (typically on Saturday and Sunday), and squeeze in a ride with the locals.

I have spent 9 hours already this year building reroutes and normal maintance in KY and plan to be at the IMBA's scheduled date in Louisville, KY for more trail building. Riding on trails that you helped build yourself has a feeling you dont' get riding on a trail you never left sweat or blood on while making.. Building trails is like riding in a way. Once you go to the first trail day it gets addictive and you want to go back and help.

I am a member of our local IMBA club and enjoy helping on trail days. Keeps my firefighting tools busy in the off-season too I have to admit that I do not do enough of it.

I wish I had more time to building new trails on my own place. It was easier when the boy was at home so we could work together on it. Also wish I had a little more vertical drop to work with but I'm not complaining too much.

One might wonder where "gue" is to have a dialog on trail building without the trespassing issue attached.
