The frame pump kills it for me. Also don't like that drab color.

like all custom builds they have a waiting list. and it might take between 0,5 to 4-5 years before you get your frame.
but there is likely at least 20-100 makers that will produce a just as good or better and just as nice looking frame for you in the custom department. for sure.
I definitely have pretty much unlimited funds for custom bikes and whatnot but I buy off the shelf stuff (yeah its "boutique" brands). and paint it myself.
why?? because i have no unusual body proportions, and these frames are still hand made to the highest specs. rides well. AND i get them right away!
currently I have 2 lynskeys that i comuto on. 1 cooper cx and 1 procross and also a mtb a chromag made in canada. and all these were 50-75% off when I got them!! since they were last years models. no sh1t. heck i got the procross with carbon fork and headset directly from lynskey for 1/3 or retail. and you cant do that with customs. will a speedwagen ride better?? maybe? maybe not. will a seven/moots be better?? maybe maybe not.
will any custom steel mtb hardtail be better than my chromag no matter who makes it?? seriously kinda doubt it!!
HOWEVER..
if you want a speedwagen, in a particular color or whatever you should get it!!
I buy stuff all the time that i just know i have to have!! and i know this is the fuking sh1t! and this is what its all about. being happy. and i feel happier knowing that i have exactly what i wanted!
its not always about getting the economically smartest thing. sometimes you just have to get what you want and be done. I never hold back with this. I have in the past and it just ended up with me selling sh1t and getting the stuff i wanted in the the first place anyway.

They have some really cool paint jobs up there at speedvagen... seems a shame to paint the frame olive drab.

i agree. I paint my **** really wild. then again its ti and its raw from the maker. I would get it primed only from the maker. then again i used to work in a paint shop since i was 15 to 25 or so.

I don't get these bikes. You can easily work a complete build up to $10K with one paint color and without going too crazy on the spec. That's insane for what you're getting here. They're batch production, off the rack steel frames. I don't even like the design of the frame, ISP and TIG... meh.
There are tons of custom builders out there willing to build you a nicer, more bespoke frame for this money.

Love the colors. But, what makes them any different/better than Guru or Zen who are no longer in business? And, why not a Ritchey or Independent Fabrication?
