un meaning

Gives a general geographic location. . Why. Ohh just general curiosity for one. 2nd If one member sees others live in the general area thats close, that can be useful all the way around. What would be useful with a twist is to have a map of the us or wherever and have pins etc in the city or rural area members live. Thats interesting. Why? I dunno..nothing useful,.just back to the hardwired curiosity factor in humans. Lots of other useful and not usefull reasons, but ill leave it at that.

I was/am "Curveman" on a number of other forums related to archery and bowhunting and admittedly was initially used as a double entendre of sorts. It might've fit here too but I think it was taken. Curves of a bow, curves in a road, curves of a woman. I am admirerer of all those lines, sincerely and respectfully. Longbowsafari reflected my bow, my journey and used here more spur of the moment. How's that for weird?! LOL!

I was born and raised and live in Fairbanks, Alaska. Frequently, my hometown is shortened to either "Fbx" or "Fbks" when people who live here are filling out paper forms and have to put down a physical or mailing address, so instead of writing out "Fairbanks" a lot of us write "Fbks" or "Fbx" on the form.

I am a cyclist, but "cycler" has a different feel, a slightly different vibe than "cyclist" so I used the former rather than the latter.

I am a cyclist who lives in Fairbanks, Alaska.

When I joined BF, it was the elephant in the room for me. I quit riding after struggling to continue racing for a year with severe exercise induced athsma. I did not handle it well...

I asked the mods (someone, I forget who) If I could change it, and was told that it seemed a reasonable exception, but I never followed up with it.

Headtube is stubby, seat post tube is a stupid name, and top tube sounds arrogant. Chainstay actually would have been kind of cool, but seatstay sounds like a put-down. Downtube is clearly the best tube. 42 is random.

I expect this is a russian hacker ploy to learn more about me, and everything I just said is a lie.

Can't remember how I came up with it, but it was my moniker on the old Dan Carlin "Boards", where I spouted off on all manner of topics. So now it has sentimental value, and I keep it alive when possible. NOT related to the Chris Rock film CB4, but I don't object to the comparison

Last name is Deal, birthday is on the 4th, first bike-store bike was a Fuji, and it also works for me always looking a good deal on a C&V bike. I like Fuji's a lot but I I'm not limiting myself to any one brand or even style of bike. Folders are starting to become an interest.

It means exactly what it is. I am 63 years old, semi-retired and put 3,000 to 4,000 miles on my bikes in an average year. The icon is pretty realistic as well :-)

I live Midway between Seattle and Tacoma Washington and very near an area called Midway on the West Hill. I tried a number of other user names associated with my “hobby” of Sports Photography but they were all taken.

I always wanted to b a pirate....you know travel the world with nothing but what I can carry, plundering and seeing the world. But alas, I went to college, got a job and worked my whole life. As I approach retirement, being a pirate seems like it still may happen.....OK probably not, but a man should still dream. No matter what forum I am on, I am Pirate something or something Pirate, usually River Pirate.
