tires for trek 7200
currently have specialized crossroads 700x38 on my trek 7200 but thinking about 700x32. Does this sound like too much of a change or would this work or does any one know what would be the best fit for this bike?

It shouldn't be a problem unless the rims you have are very wide.

If you are using the stock rims, 32s should be just fine. If you are using a kick stand, you may have to shorten it a little to keep the bike from standing too upright with the smaller tires.

FWIW, I've found that the recommended size range for most rims is VERY conservative. Depending on what I plan to do, I've used tires from 23mm to 41mm on several sets of wheels with no problems ever. Only issue has been whether the tires will fit the frame and fork.

I'm running a 35 on the front of my Crosstrail, with a 40 on the rear. OEM was 45.
If you still have one good tire, try swapping to a 32 on the front to see how you like it.
You will get better, and quicker, handling - and still retain the nice ride with the fatter one on the back.
I like the mix real well, and am running Schwalbe Marathon Supremes.
I just might try a 32-35 mix, when I run out of these sizes.
With either of those sizes, the Planet Bike Hardcore Hybrid Fenders, will fit perfectly.

One of my ride buddies has a 7200 and ran 32's for a season. No problem except he found the ride to be too harsh. This year he went back to the stock 35's. bk
